Wheelersburg, Ohio's R.J. Conley became just the third two-time Late Model track champion in PRP history, joining Bob Adams, Jr.(96, 97) and Kenny Christy (00, 02). Conley started 10 A-mains in 2004, posted eight top five finishes, and recorded two victories. Conley edged fellow Wheelersburg racers Barry Bragdon, Ron Hinds, and Nick Bocook in the 2004 points race. Kenny Christy rounded out the top five. Only Conley and Adams have won back-to-back titles in the Late Model Division, and only Conley and his father, Delmas, have been a father-son duo to win PRP Track Championships
